Brooks is a graduate of Columbia City Joint High School, Hillsdale College majoring in Communication Arts and Marketing, Hansbarger Real Estate School and Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI).

He owned a residential and commercial construction company from 1987 to 1990. He has been a full- time professional Realtor since 1990 and was born and raised in Whitley County.

Brooks is affiliated with the Fort Wayne Board of Realtors, Indiana Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. He served as a School Board Member for 12 years, was on the Whitley County Economic Development Committee for 12 years, served on the Fort Wayne Board Professional Standards Committee for 10 years and helped coach wresting for over 20 years in Club, Middle School and High School.

Brooks believes in giving back to the community and treating every client as family. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, fishing and hunting.
